‘Committee Development Day’

Overview

The Bright Futures National Team knows a good, strong committee is essential in making our Societies the best on campus right across the UK. We want to help our committees in this by providing support and training conferences which incorporate their views, ideas and feedback, along with those of our Recruiter Investors.
But it’s not just the Society as a whole we want to develop... We want to ensure that all our individual committee members are the pick of the crop when it comes to getting a graduate job. As a result, a lot of this conference focuses on doing just that. We help to make sure our committee members know what makes them unique and how they stand out as an individual. Ultimately understanding their ‘personal brand’, their natural strengths and how well they ‘fit’ into an organisation is the key to long term career success, rather than just trying to mould themselves to a perceived expectation or set of competencies.

Their Involvement

In addition to this personal development, each year the committees tell us of the value they gain from the opportunity to network with:

• Other Societies and find out what each other are doing is invaluable, so we provide them a platform to share their personal experiences and ideas
• Recruiters, so again we provide a platform for facilitated networking between the recruiters and committees to focus on society activities and as well as helping to plan for the coming second term of the year.

When?
