Top Tips

TO GET YOUR IDEA APPROVED

1. Be Specific
You should be able to clearly tell us what your idea is, what you want to achieve and why. Your idea does not have to be massively innovative [but don't let that stop you going ahead with any idea no matter how unusual!]. Your idea could be anything    including: an event, a web-based business, designing & selling a new app, importing things into the UK and selling them on, a competition, a university fete with stall holders, the options are endless...

2. Measurable
You should be able to tell us how you will use the seed funding and how much you are aiming  to raise.

3. Achievable
Your big idea needs to be achievable within the timescale of the programme, so by mid-March you need to show that it will generate a profit.

4. Realistic
Can you realistically achieve what you want to with the resources you have? Think about the people in your team and identify the skills you have between you. Decide how much funding [if any] you need and how much money you hoping to raise. Are you making the most of your university/students/town?

5. Time
When do you want to achieve your goals/sales/competition/event? It could be a one-off activity or a series of events.

The clearer your submission is in terms of what the idea is, how credible it is and how likely it is to make money, the more likely you are to become one of our Business Champions.
